According to her obituary Louelda was born in Louisville, KY, although she may have been born in New Albany, IN which is just across the river as each census record lists her birth as Indiana. 

Louelda married Charles G. Ford on 20 Oct 1844,in Washington County, IN. [He was the son of Frederick Ford #120185083 and the couple lived next to them in 1850] 

"I Noah Lukenbill (family friend?) of sd county do solemnly swear that I am well acquainted with Charles G. Farde (or Faude?) and Lavelda Moore, that sd Fard is of lawful age to marry and that said Lavelda is a resident of sd county and has no father or mother living and she has no guardian in Sd State and I know of no reason why sd Moore and sd Forde should not marry." Subscribed and Sworn to before me this 19th day of October, 1844

The couple had 9 children of which 6 were living in 1900, when she was enumerated on the 1900 census in Maxwell, Minnesota as a widow. Her husband, Charles, died before 1898 in Illinois; they were enumerated on the 1850 census in Indiana and in 1860 and 1880 Illinois census together with some of their children.
